Working out can be the best and worst thing. The numerous dreaded walks to the gym, thinking about how badly you need to motivate yourself. Honestly if you love to work out, that’s great. If you’re anything like me…you hate it. But lets face it, if you get into a great routine you feel amazing. If you want to feel like a true diva, be active 3 times a week. Don’t force yourself to go to the gym everyday. Looking and feeling like a classy diva is a life style, not some 2 week gym kick that ends just as fast as it started. Do something you know you’ll be able to maintain. Go to the gym and try the weight loss program on the elliptical. Read a book or watch TV while you do it. Go for a walk or run another day. Ride your bike or join a yoga class. It also helps to do a quick 10 minute ab routine that you know will not kill you.

A common misconception is that the way to get in shape is to “feel the burn” and put yourself through a struggle. DO NOT DO THAT. Don’t over think your work out. Just do a 20-30 minute cardio routine that leaves you feeling like you got your heart rate going….let’s try not to give ourselves a heart attack…

Tips for motivating your diva-self into being active 3 times a week.

1) Buy some cute work out clothes and sneakers –> there is nothing more motivating than have some feel good work out clothes ready

2) turn some old tee-shirts into cute gym tanks

3) always keep your ipod up to date. Seriously, it will keep your spirits up through your work out

4) Have a playlist ready. Try to look down at your ipod as little as possible. Don’t search for a good song, have some great songs ready to go.

5) Drink a lot of water. Your skin will thank you for it.
