1)Get Some Sun

It’s important to get outdoors, it can be refreshing and relaxing.  Additionally, being in the sun boosts your Vitamin D levels, increases serotonin and improves your mood. Make some time every day to get outside and relax.

2) Use The Stairs When You Can

Depending on how many floors you are going, try to always take the stairs. It’s a great way to get your heart pumping and your body moving. This will indirectly keep you awake and alert.



3) Brew Some Coffee or Tea

Making some coffee or tea is a good way to get a boost of antioxidants, as well as caffeine. The right amount of caffeine can wake you up and get you going in the mornings.

4) Take 10 minutes to do a Sudoku, Trivia or Crossword

Taking time to work on a puzzle is both relaxing and brain stimulating. It’s a good way to get your brain working especially if you need a pick-me up moment throughout the day. It’s nice to have a hobby such as this that doesn’t include a computer or television.



5) Make a Smoothie

Not only are smoothies delicious, but they are very healthy and full of vitamins. Having smoothies regularly can help you body feel energized and keep you raring to go. It’s a great way to treat yourself as well!



6) Stretch

Stretching in the mornings or in the afternoons helps your body prepare for the day. It wakes up your muscles and gets your body in good form for moving around.

7)Write in a Journal

Writing in a journal is both theraputic and gets your brain going. It’s a great habit to have because it motivates you to stay in tune with yourself and gives you a brain stimulating habit. Doing this daily will boost your energy and help you keep track of what you want to accomplish daily.



8) Laugh

One of the best ways to boost your energy is to make yourself laugh everyday. I know that after a long day at the office..all I want to do is sit down on the couch and watch my favorite sitcom on the couch (How I Met Your Mother and Seinfeld). It’s a simple show that makes me laugh every time. I swear, it’s chicken soup for the soul.

9)Surround Yourself With Good Scents

Surrounding yourself with good scents can boost your mood, as well as your energy. Scents like Lime, Grapefruit and Peppermint have been found to increase your overall energy. So grab some great scented candles and put them on your desk or in your room.



10) Eat a Good Breakfast

Probably the most important way to keep your energy up, is to start with a good breakfast. It’s the only way to get your body charged and ready to go in the morning..so whatever you do. Don’t skimp out on breakfast.
